Speak Up!

Good ideas and solutions don't always come from those with the most expertise!

You may have heard the rather famous story of the ice rink at a renowned Parisian palace hotel.

The management team was wondering what their lovely patio could become in winter.

To find the right idea, they called on the entire hotel staff with a suggestion box. Ideas poured in!

The idea chosen was to turn the terrace into a pop-up ice rink. The rink was a huge success; it was open to everyone, provided they had afternoon tea there… not bad at all!

This truly good idea came from a housekeeper. You might have expected it to come from the communications, guest relations or sales department, but no: it was housekeeping that found the solution.

Let everyone have a say!
